Batteries: the same size, described differently
ORORO's vest battery is 7.38V and 4,800 mAh, which is the 35.4 Wh ORORO prints; its listings call it UL-certified and rate it for 800+ charge cycles. Venustas's vest listings say "certified 36 Wh" without naming the standard.
Venustas publishes more about run time. Its FAQ has a table for three battery sizes in a 7.4V garment with five heating elements at room temperature: its standard 4,800 mAh pack gives 3, 6 and 10 hours on high, medium and low; a 7,200 mAh pack 4, 8 and 13; and a 10,000 mAh pack, which it rates at 74 Wh, 6, 12 and 20 hours.
ORORO's vest listings give the low-setting figure only. With the two standard batteries within 1 Wh of each other, nothing in the specs points to a difference in hours.
Heat zones
Both brands heat the collar, back and pockets. Venustas's quilted vests add panels over the shoulders, and its listings claim its panels are 30% larger than standard designs; that is the maker's own comparison, with no figure for either side.
For heated sleeves, only Venustas has an option here: the 12V softshell adds both arms and a 54 Wh battery. ORORO's classic jackets on Amazon use the same four core zones as its vests.
Washing and flying
Both say the battery comes out before washing, then a mesh bag, cold water and a gentle cycle. ORORO's help center says line dry, never tumble dry, and hand wash its heated gloves and scarves. Venustas's washing guide says a dryer is not recommended and down-filled pieces should be hand washed.
ORORO's men's vest listing adds a wash rating: the heating system is designed for 50+ machine wash cycles. Venustas's listings say washer-safe but give no count.
For flying, Venustas's FAQ says its batteries go in your carry-on. That matches the FAA's lithium battery rules: lithium-ion batteries up to 100 Wh, with spare batteries and power banks in carry-on baggage only. Every battery in this comparison is under that limit, including Venustas's 74 Wh pack.
Which to buy
Buy ORORO if you want the maker to spell out battery certification, charge cycles and wash durability, or if you already own ORORO batteries: the MINI 5K fits all ORORO heated clothing, per its listing.
Buy Venustas if your shoulders get cold, if you want to know the high-setting hours before you buy, or if you want a bigger battery or a jacket with heated arms.
Either way, plan on the low setting for a full day, and remember the charger may not be in the box.

Neither maker says so. ORORO's MINI 5K listing says it is compatible with all ORORO heated clothing, and Venustas's batteries are sold for Venustas apparel; mixing brands means mixing connectors the makers do not list as compatible.
